I decided to let Shelby be the first this time. Annie and I had talked about it and it sounded like a good idea. We waited until the day of to tell the girls, because they are impatient like their parents. Annie explained to them that they would be going out with me all by themselves every other Friday night. Annie told Shelby that she would be the first one! Shelby was very excited and told Annie that she wanted to curl her hair so she would look beautiful for the date.
We decided to go ice skating and get hot chocolate. We were the only ones at the ice skating rink, Shelby did great. She was sliding all over the place at first and was cracking up uncontrollably. We had a great time. After that we went to the coco bean which is a little hot chocolate and cupcake shop. Shelby drank all of her hot chocolate and we shared a cupcake. Shelby's tummy is sensitive so by the end she had a tummy ache. She wasn't going to make it home without going potty so we stopped by BYU Idaho to use the bathroom and she was more impressed that we stopped by Daddy's school than anything else that we did the whole night. We stopped by the temple to look at how big and beautiful it was and by that time she missed mom and was ready to go home.
